Priority of the "four" goes to Haramein
A correction of record, written as it happened.
Volume 1 attributes the relation "the proton's reduced Compton wavelength equals one quarter of its charge radius" (the factor four, Cpr = 4) to Trinhammer and Bohr (2019). While re-checking primary sources we found that Nassim Haramein wrote this down first. In his 2013 paper on the holographic mass he predicted the proton charge radius as r_p = 4·l_P·m_P/m_p = 0.841236 fm — years before the 2018 CODATA value — and reduced it to m_p = 4ħ/(c·r_p).
We also found his latest paper: N. Haramein, O. Alirol, C. Guermonprez, Extending Einstein-Rosen's Geometric Vision: Vacuum Fluctuations-Induced Curvature as the Source of Mass, Gravity and Nuclear Confinement, Preprints.org, 20 October 2025, doi:10.20944/preprints202509.1835.v2. It is not peer-reviewed. There the factor four appears again, as ƛ_p = r_p/4, taken as exact.
What we changed:
- Book, §5.3 and Appendix A5.3 rewritten: Haramein is now the first witness of the four (2013); Trinhammer–Bohr (2019) are an independent later arrival. Claims such as "he stopped one step short" were removed as unsupported.
- Other places in Volume 1 (§5.1, the table of appearances, the Afterword, the bibliography) brought in line; the English edition was rebuilt for a replacement upload to KDP.
- Preprints updated to the same order of priority.
- A new rule for the project: a priority claim is made only after reading the full primary sources and searching for newer work by the same authors, preprints included.
- An earlier draft letter to Haramein contained the old claim; it has been corrected, with an apology.
What this does not change: the book's own contribution — looking for a geometric origin of the four in a discrete lattice — and our verdict on the 2009 black-hole model (~10¹¹ kg), which still stands.
The 2025 preprint has been reviewed. A detailed analysis is in preparation and will appear in this diary.
Update, 29 October 2026. We dated Haramein's result to 2012. The journal records receipt on 21 February 2013 and publication on 27 April 2013, and we have not found a verifiable 2012 version, so we now date it 2013. The priority over Trinhammer–Bohr (2019) is unchanged. Version 5 of the Cpr = 4 preprint carries the same correction.
