A YouTube channel for Theory of Space
Theory of Space now has a YouTube channel. Its purpose is simple: to show the geometry that the book and the preprints describe, in clips short enough to watch in half a minute.
The first two videos are vertical loops for Shorts and TikTok. One is a tetrahedron (15 s), the other an octahedron crystal (30 s) — the two cells that fill space without gaps in the tetrahedral–octahedral lattice. Both turn in orthographic projection with no depth cues, so the eye has to read the shape itself; the slow turn produces the "ballerina effect", where the direction of rotation can flip in the mind.
The banner (2048×1152) places a large tetrahedron on the left and a large octahedron on the right, with the lattice between them. The channel watermark is the project logo at 150×150.
Every clip is generated from code, not drawn by hand, so the same geometry that gives the numbers in the preprints gives the pictures. The scripts are in the repository under `materials/video/`.
Next: more cells of the lattice, then the proton's figure — the tetrahedron jammed in the octahedral cavity.
